Field Trips

Round out your Future of Finance experience by seeing first-hand how new business models and technologies are already changing the world around us.

To take part in one of the below field trips, select your preference during online registration.

All field trips will take place on Tuesday, 2 October. Transportation to and from locations will be provided by bus.

  • World Horti Center

    World Horti Center is the leading innovation center of the international greenhouse horticulture sector. A platform where business, education and government jointly innovate, connect, create and inspire. The center is visited annually by some 25,000 international professionals.

    The bus for this field trip will depart Central Studios at 12:30.

  • Singularity University Innovation Hub

    Exponential technologies are those which are rapidly accelerating, shaping major industries and all aspects of our lives. Exponential technologies include artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR, VR), data science, digital biology and biotech, medicine, nanotech and digital fabrication, networks and computing systems, robotics, and autonomous vehicles.

    Singularity University believes that the solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges lie at the intersection of these exponential technologies. That is, when two or more of these technologies are used in combination to attack a persistent challenge, the possibility of developing a sustainable solution becomes much more likely.

    The bus for this field trip will depart Central Studios at 12:30.

  • AgroCares (SoilCares)

    AgroCares is a global AG Tech company based in The Netherlands. With a passionate team of business developers, agronomists, IT and R&D specialists , it delivers innovative services to contribute to closing the world food gap.

    AgroCares achieves this with cutting-edge data solutions to measure nutrients and other key parameters in soil (SoilCares), in feed (FeedCares) and in leaf (LeafCares) which ultimately leads to sustainable yield and production increase.

    The bus for this field trip will depart Central Studios at 12:30. We advise you to wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that covers your legs.

  • ING Customer Experience Centre

    ING's Customer Experience Centre (ICEC) is its innovation hub, an open space connecting people, ideas, technology and tools from inside and outside the bank.

    A highlight of this tour will be a demonstration of the Microsoft HoloLens (virtual reality smartglasses).

    The bus for this field trip will depart Central Studios at 12:45.
