Terms and conditions
Please note that when registering for the Future of Finance 2023, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
The following definitions apply to these terms and conditions:
“delegate” means you, the person registering / registered for the Future of Finance 2023; and
“FMO” means Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V. (registration number with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce: 270 78 545).
Conference and registration details
All conference information (including directions and information on hotels near to the conference location(s)) can be found on the Future of Finance 2023 website: https://fof.fmo.nl. Registration is to be completed online through the conference website.
Personal invitation only
Registration for the Future of Finance 2023 is possible by personal invitation only.
There is a limited amount of conference places available. Registration is therefore on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. Additional requests are not accepted by default.
Conference fee
The regular fee for the Future of Finance 2023 amounts to EUR 950.00 excluding 21% VAT. This fee includes access to the conference venue, as well as lunches and refreshments during the conference on October 3 and 4, 2023. Conference facilities and transport between certain local hotels (to be specified on the Future of Finance 2023 website: https://fof.fmo.nl) and the conference location(s) are covered by FMO. All other costs, including travelling expenses and accommodation, are at your own expense.
Payment
Confirmation of registration will be provided by email.
Registration is complete once final payment by FMO is received (in full).
If final payment is not received within three (3) weeks after registration and/or before October 1, 2023 (with the earliest date prevailing), FMO will cancel that registration and deny access to the conference.
Cancellations
Cancellations are not permitted on and after September 1, 2023.
FMO reserves the right to charge delegates an administration fee of EUR 50 (excluding 21% VAT) in the event of a cancellation. This means the following:
(a) For cancellations received before September 1, 2023, FMO will refund the conference fee (plus 21% VAT) minus an administration fee of EUR 50 (plus 21% VAT).
(b) Cancellations from September 1, 2023, onwards, will be subject to the full conference fee and no refund will be granted.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and sent via email to: fof@fmo.nl.
Replacements
If a delegate is unable to attend the conference for unforeseen reasons, it is possible to send a replacement to attend the Future of Finance 2023. All replacements must be notified to FMO prior the start of the conference via email (fof@fmo.nl) (confirming the name of the replacement delegate).
No refund will be issued by FMO in such case and the delegate and replacement delegate will arrange any payment exchange between themselves.
Privacy
FMO is committed to protecting your privacy. All information provided will be treated as confidential by FMO and according to FMO's Privacy Statement (https://www.fmo.nl/privacy-statement). FMO will use the contact details provided by you when registering for the conference to send you information about Future of Finance 2023, the invoice, and, if requested, an invitation letter for visa purposes (any such visa must be arranged by yourself).
In addition, your contact details are used to send you an invitation to join a mobile event application that provides detailed information on the Future of Finance 2023 program and logistics during the conference. Afterwards, FMO may ask you for your feedback on Future of Finance 2023. If consented to, your contact details will also be used to inform you on other events you may be interested in.
Sessions and social gatherings during the Future of Finance 2023 will be recorded and photographed. This footage will be published via public channels and (social) media to promote the Future of Finance 2023, FMO and any sponsors involved. If you object to this, FMO asks you to contact FMO via fof@fmo.nl.
Amendments to the Future of Finance 2023 program
FMO reserves the right to cancel or modify its conference program (including the rescheduling of conference dates if required due to force majeure and/or external circumstances, such as COVID-19).
Disclaimer and general provisions
FMO excludes all representations and warranties regarding the truth, accuracy and/or completeness of details of the Future of Finance 2023 website and its content. FMO also excludes all liabilities for damages arising out of or in connection with a delegate’s use of the Future of Finance 2023 website and/or its registration for and participation in Future of Finance 2023.
These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
To the extent possible, disputes between parties will be resolved by means of proper consultation. Disputes arising from and/or in connection with these terms and conditions will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in The Hague.
